Senior Center Time Line
Following is a brief summary of the new proposed schedule:

April 23, 2007 Town Meeting Approval of Design Fees in the amount of
$495,000

May 14, 2007 Town Ballot Vote

June – July 2007 Project Manager Selection/Designer Selection

August – December 2007 Design Development

January 2008 Cost Estimate based on 75% complete plans reviewed and Final
Design completed

February – March 2008 Bid Project (filed sub-bids, then General Contractor
bids in April 2008)

Actual bid costs in hand mid-April before April 28, 2008 Town Meeting vote
for balance of total project construction costs

May 12, 2008 Town Ballot Vote on Debt Exclusion for project construction

Sign Construction Contract with ground breaking in June 2008

Project completed by June 2009
The SCBC and COA believe that the above schedule represents the most conservative
approach for this project as it provides for a solid cost figure going into April 2008 Town
Meeting based upon actual bids in response to a final design product.
